Here are some steps to start or try a recommended acting career.
The first step
He knows to introduce one of the most competitive companies in the world. Even if you are an amateur, it is not a place for fans. That being said, take this trial or a new career seriously. You have to be professional.
If you live in New York, Los Angeles, London or any other major city, you’re in luck. If you do not do your best with what you have, but consider that, over time, you are likely to move to a major city. However, no matter where you are, you have to start 99% of the time in an acting class. Do not live in an illusion that you are intelligent, just because you think, or someone else has told you. The skills and experience are very different.
Enroll in acting classes. Good players study all their lives. As well as a professional basketball player practice twice a day (no matter how it is), even for the actors. There is always something to learn. There are many places and people who offer acting classes, make sure they are certified, or at least recommended by someone. Just as a good acting teacher can help you grow, evil can hurt your career. Choose carefully.
Get a shot in the head. It does not have to be a great photographer and expensive, but it has to be a good shot. My first shot in the head was very famous with a photographer who worked with Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Keanu Reeves, unfortunately he did nothing for me. I spent a lot of money, and it was not a good experience or a good result.
A few years later, my girlfriend took some photos in the garden with her new camera. These images gave me more audiences than any other professional. So it’s not the photographer, that’s the image. Get Excellent!
Enter a summary of all the work you have done so far. Gradually, as your body grows, eliminate less professional work (such as school games) from your resume. If you have just started, and you have no experience, register your training and add hobbies (which are good) and other special skills. For more information on how to draft an interim CV, see our CV advice.
Send your photo to the head and resume with a cover letter to all the directors and casting agents in your area. Follow all four postcards for six months, updating them on your current projects. Always remember, you are your best promoter. No one can promote better than you.
Read regularly specialized journals: “Behind the Scenes”, “Variety” and “The Ross Reports” as well as online publications such as Pages actors. Know what is being sent, and send shots to the head and notes directly to the directors and producers wherever possible, requesting auditions. Always look for new information and share new information with others. Fear does not take away from work. Just your lack of desire and the can experience. If you share with others, they will share with you.
Always accept invitations to industry events and parties, and meet industry professionals whenever possible. What is known, this is extremely important. Be accessible and open. Actors must be considered at all times.
Believe! Believe! Believe! Do not be discouraged, depressed or give up because things do not go their way. I had my first concert after five years of fighting. My first concert was with Steven Spielberg. I have friends who have worked five full years, and all they really want is to work with Spielberg. A real actor never stops.
