Exhaustion and weariness would hit on us on some days and we seem not to get to the end of those day. This exhaustion would sometimes put us down not only days but sometimes a period of time. When you are in this condition, it might seem impossible to take a time off and give yourself a break but know that you can overcome it. Although when you finally get to give yourself a break, you will be in a quandary on what to do with your time. When you are used to having your hands full with things to do, it could be uncomfortable for you when you have nothing to do too. Your first tip is to take care of the children first. It is a fact that moms especially have very rare moments when they get to find time for themselves. Although this rare time for yourself would happen unexpectedly, more than often you have to make it happen yourself. In those days when feel the need to rest, you can be free from the kids by thinking of some ways even for just a few hours. For those single moms, you can arrange to have your kids go to their dad’s place for a day. Your children can also visit other families or with relatives or best friends’ families. If you can talk to the parents of the friends of your children, you can let them stay with them for the day, or you can take your kids to a day class.

Your next step once you have found some time on your own is to think of what it is you like that will help you to relax. When we are really tired, we need something to relieve ourselves from those stress, and for some of us, a long soak in a bath tub or a long bath shower will help us feel energized again. It would be nice to put some candles or your favourite scent in the room when you are having that long bath. Also, when taking that long shower, you can use scented shampoo and shower gel. While having that long soak in the tub or shower, you can add a relaxing music in the background.

Another way to perk up that energy is to lie down on your sofa and simply do nothing. When you are ready to settle in your sofa, get changed into your most comfortable outfit and do what you like while lying down, like listen to music, read your favourite book, or watch finally the nice movie that you missed out.
