Association of Equity Agents is a syndicate that represents agents who act in theater or theatrical production. Association of Actors, or Equity, for short, was established in 1913 and is the oldest member of all major actors’ unions, such as Guild and AFTRA screen agents.
Equity was formed to ensure that the actors are treated fairly by the manufacturer. Equity to ensure that members get paid fair and punctual. This ensures that the actors are able to perform their trade in reasonable working conditions. It also deals with benefits, salaries and other aspects of the career of the actors.

How can I participate in the Actors Equity Association?
Actors can join the Association of Equity Agents in several different ways. The most common way to join participation is as follows:
-Performer can join only by working on or on a participation production recorded over several weeks. You can know if a production is equity or do not ask the manufacturer or getting in touch with equity.
-Performer can join in if they have been other members of the main syndicate actors, such as the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) or the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and has become a major player when Became a member of the union.
-Performer can also join in by contacting equity and demonstrate to the union that it will be held in the next production that is affiliated with equity.
